About MTIC

Mumbles Tourist Information Centre was established in 1976, the brainchild of a group of business people who saw that a local TIC was needed to promote tourism business in the area and to serve the needs of both visitors to and residents of Mumbles.
The TIC has always been managed by a voluntary Management Committee and operated as a not for profit-making organization. Running costs are met through sales, fund-raising and discretionary grants from such bodies as the City and County of Swansea, Mumbles Community Council and First Cymru.
Since 2005 the Gower Walking Festival has been run by the Mumbles Tourist Association to raise funds for the TIC.
Details of the 2013 Festival can be found by clicking here, and details of the 2014 Festival, which will be held from June 7th to the 22nd, will be posted early in 2014.

Facilities:

At the heart of the TIC’s operation is ‘Information’. Highly trained staff comply with Visit Wales regulations are on hand to answer any and every question about not only the immediate area, but the whole of Wales.

Consequently, the TIC consistently scores highly in the Visit Wales annual ”mystery visitor” tests.

Accommodation Provision is of course a major facet of the centres work, and personal visitors will be advised on where to stay and can be booked in at the time of their request, both locally and nationwide.

Tickets for the theatre and concerts in Swansea may be obtained at the TIC, in addition to local concerts and events.
